Where does the time go? Our first week in Apache Junction ends today and it feels like we just got here. We’ve been busy every day.
Yesterday, after the usually round of answering e-mails from our readers and filling some orders, Terry and I made a quick stop at the post office to mail them out, then went to her parents’ place to pick up our mail and have a brief visit with them.
Then we came home because Terry’s cousin Carolyn and her hubby Mel were stopping by. Carolyn and Mel are also fulltime RVers and they have spent their last two summers workamping at Crazy Horse Memorial in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It was nice to see them again and have time to visit.
After Mel and Carolyn left, I dealt with the e-mail that had come in during the afternoon, then ordered the proof copy of the print version of Dog’s Run. I should have it in hand by Thursday and if all is as it should be, it will be available to order from Amazon sometime early next week.
During the evening I spent some time talking with my author’s group on Facebook. One of them, Anna J. McIntyre, has a free title on Amazon right now for those of you who enjoy reading romance books. Check out While Snowbound and please leave a review when you’re done reading it.
A little before 9 p.m. light rain began to fall and thunder started booming. I was hoping it would continue because I love going to sleep to the sound of raindrops on the roof of our motorhome, but it didn’t last long.
It’s snowbird season and if you’re going to be spending the winter in Florida or Arizona, I have two great books to guide you to some very neat off the beaten path adventures in both places. Check out Overlooked Floridaand Overlooked Arizona on Amazon.
A lot of you know John and Kathy Huggins through their Living the RV Dream podcasts and Facebook group. They were kind enough to donate a copy of their book So, You Want to be a Full-Time RVer? to our drawing last week, and are big supporters of the Gypsy Journal Now it’s our opportunity to give something back. Living the RV Dream is in the running for the annual Podcasts Award and they need your vote. Voting is open until November 15th and you can vote once a day between now and then. All you have to do is go to http://www.podcastawards.com/ and scroll down to the Travel category on the right and vote for Living the RV Dream. I’m voting every day and I hope you will too.
Today we are going to the Escapees Chapter 48 luncheon at Micky D’s in Apache Junction. If you are a fulltime RVer or a snowbird, you have a huge extended family in the members of the Escapees RV Club wherever you are traveling. We’re looking forward to seeing everybody.
Bad Nick was busy yesterday too, writing a new Bad Nick blog titled Everything Isn’t A Conspiracy. Check it out and leave a comment.
Thought For The Day – I’ve come to accept the fact that I will never get back to my original weight and that’s okay. 7 pounds 9 ounces isn’t realistic.
